Our Story

JORA began with a simple question:

If we are so careful about what surrounds the earliest stages of life, why shouldn’t we bring the same thoughtfulness into the products we use every day?

With a background in stem cell and embryology research, JORA’s founder spent years working in laboratory environments where precision, purity and careful control of every detail were essential. In the embryo laboratory, even something as ordinary as perfume or heavily fragranced personal products is avoided — a reminder of just how thoughtfully the environment around developing life is considered.

That experience changed the way she looked at everyday personal care.

From soaps and balms to products used around babies and families, ingredient lists can often be longer and more complicated than they need to be. JORA was created from the belief that everyday care can be simpler, more considered and made with a greater awareness of what we put on our skin.
